This is an original Model 1803 Harpers Ferry late production (1819) flintlock rifle that has been converted to percussion. This model has the 36" barrel with a 1819 dated lock. The overall condition is good for the age. There is some moderate pitting around the breech area. The wood has been cleaned and there is a small wood repair in front of the drum. The ramrod appears to be a reproduction. The lock functions on half and full cock and the patchbox release button functions correctly. The bore is has been opened up to .610 and is smooth. These rifles are becoming scarce in any condition and this one has alot of potential to be restored. Additional photos are available upon request.
